This limited series comprises only ten Chimera lamps, each handcrafted in the Puglia region of southern Italy. The design concept is based on "fragmentation," reflecting the multi-layered and often contradictory nature of human desire. Its form is an assembly of elements—not a haphazard jumble, but a carefully orchestrated composition.
These fragmented elements echo ancient Etruscan terracotta votive offerings—objects historically used to carry hopes, prayers, and deep significance. Although crafted from humble materials, the Chimera lamp commands a powerful presence and emotional weight through its physical structure and the concepts woven into its design.
Francesca De Giorgi is the lead designer for this project and serves as the Creative Director of Nassi. By infusing the design with a sense of ritual and symbolism associated with good fortune, the piece transcends mere functionality.
