A firsthand look at Light+Building 2026 |

2026-03-12

On March 8th, local time, Light + Building 2026, the international trade fair for lighting and building technology in Frankfurt, Germany, grandly opened at the Frankfurt Exhibition Center. Broadlink showcased its full-scenario intelligent solutions, the innovative Matter Super Bridge RM MAX, and its self-developed FastCon technology at booth B29 in Hall 9.0, demonstrating the global competitiveness of its intelligent solutions through integrated spatial intelligence and an open and compatible ecosystem.

This year's Light + Building Frankfurt, themed "Empowering the Electrified Future – Intelligent Buildings, Light-Sculpted Spaces," attracted over two thousand exhibitors from around the world. From intelligent lighting to intelligent buildings, the demand for a comprehensive and integrated intelligent ecosystem is becoming a focus of the industry. As a leading global provider of intelligent solutions, Broadlink presented a wealth of industry solutions and products covering whole-house intelligence, smart real estate, smart hotels, smart offices, and smart parking, committed to building a comprehensive and integrated intelligent experience for global customers, from homes to various buildings.

Illuminating All-Scenario Intelligence, Leading a New Height of Smart Living

At this exhibition, Broadlink showcased its full range of products covering all scenarios in residential and commercial settings, including smart lighting, smart panels, security sensors, smart shading, and smart central control. From the perception layer to the execution layer, the complete product matrix adapts to the needs of various scenarios in homes and businesses, demonstrating its forward-looking layout and product capabilities in the field of whole-house intelligence, and intuitively presenting Broadlink's integrated, all-scenario spatial intelligence deployment capabilities.

In terms of smart lighting, Broadlink highlighted the superior control capabilities of its smart drive products based on FastCon technology. Multiple lighting drive products are compatible with various types of mainstream lighting products such as light strips and downlights, achieving a smooth dimming control effect. On-site, users can intuitively experience the delicate transition of brightness and color temperature, as well as RGB full-color dimming and stepless adjustment. The light response is smooth and fluid, with brightness and color changing at your fingertips, providing an experience comparable to wired dimming and fully demonstrating Broadlink's core technological strength in the field of lighting control.

In the lighting experience area, the interaction of light and sound presents a new dimension of intelligence. The built-in high-sensitivity audio pickup module in the sound control box collects ambient audio signals in real time, converts them into lighting control commands, and synchronously drives various lighting fixtures such as light strips and floor lamps to create a dazzling sound and light atmosphere. No audio source pairing or complicated configuration is required; it's plug-and-play, quickly achieving an immersive lighting experience where "light moves with sound" and "light and shadow follow movement," becoming a popular photo spot at the exhibition.

RM MAX – Dual Bridges Outline a New Smart Interconnected Ecosystem

At this exhibition, Broadlink made a grand appearance with its innovative Matter protocol super bridge – RM MAX. RM MAX pioneers a "infrared/RF + FastCon" dual Matter bridge architecture. It not only seamlessly connects all Broadlink FastCon ecosystem devices to the Matter ecosystem but also, groundbreakingly, supports the integration of non-smart infrared/RF home appliances into the Matter ecosystem, enabling hundreds of millions of traditional infrared/RF home appliances worldwide to be seamlessly "Matter-ified."

This innovation provides a low-barrier-to-entry path for intelligent upgrades in the existing market, allowing users to embrace the Matter ecosystem without replacing existing home devices. It also builds a more open and inclusive foundation for whole-house smart home solutions. While the industry focuses on building new products and ecosystems, RM MAX chooses backward and forward compatibility, enabling true cross-generational interconnectivity between the past and future, and between tradition and intelligence, within the Matter ecosystem.

Furthermore, the RM MAX open platform, based on RM MAX's bridging capabilities, opens its core connectivity capabilities to developers, device manufacturers, and partners across the industry. Breaking down barriers of device type, brand, and protocol, it provides lighting equipment manufacturers with a low-cost, standardized Matter ecosystem access solution for smart home devices.

FastCon, Defining a New Standard for Efficient Networking

Whether it's industry solutions, superior lighting control capabilities, or the groundbreaking innovations of the Matter bridge, all rely heavily on Broadlink's self-developed communication protocol, FastCon. At the exhibition, the FastCon bulk network configuration experience zone showcased the remarkable efficiency of bulk network configuration and plug-and-play networking, vividly described by attendees as "as simple as turning on a light."

FastCon is specifically designed for smart homes. Its decentralized Mesh networking architecture enables rapid building-level networking and millisecond-level synchronization response, fundamentally solving the pain points of low efficiency and poor stability in traditional Bluetooth networking. For scenarios involving multiple floors and complex physical spaces, Broadlink further launched a wired + wireless hybrid solution: wired connections break down signal barriers between spaces, ensuring stable network coverage; within a single space, FastCon wireless networking allows for flexible expansion of terminal devices. Integrating the advantages of wired and wireless technologies, it provides a more competitive connectivity solution for smart parks, buildings, and large-scale commercial scenarios.

During this trip to Germany, Broadlink demonstrated the core strength of China's smart home industry to the world with its complete product matrix and technological innovation. In the future, Broadlink will continue to drive technological innovation and uphold openness and compatibility as its foundation, deeply cultivating the intelligent construction of all-domain scenarios. We look forward to working with global partners to build a more efficient, inclusive, and sustainable smart ecosystem, continuously empowering the electrification and intelligence of the future and illuminating a broader intelligent world.
