To celebrate its 70th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the white LED, Nichia Corporation's European division is hosting a two-day, invitation-only Innovation Gallery. The exhibition will be held from March 10th to 11th at the renowned Bernhard Knauss Museum in Frankfurt, coinciding with the Light + Building trade fair (March 8th-13th, 2026). Nichia's European division chose this time to provide a richer trade fair experience for visitors already in Frankfurt. Nichia's product portfolio extends far beyond the general and architectural lighting that dominates Light + Building. In the Innovation Gallery, visitors will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of Nichia's optoelectronic products, covering automotive, industrial, medical, horticultural, and other professional applications. Furthermore, the gallery offers an opportunity to explore the intersection of current technologies and which future technological integrations will bring new creative possibilities for lighting professionals.

The Innovation Showroom is not intended to replicate booths at large trade shows; instead, it allows customers and partners to experience innovative demonstrations tailored to real-world applications and explore integration opportunities in a relaxed and creative environment. The showroom aims to foster deeper and more meaningful dialogue between visitors and engineers and company representatives, thereby promoting informal networking. Unlike crowded traditional showrooms, it prioritizes high-quality interaction, hands-on experience, and collaborative brainstorming, making technical discussions more focused and efficient.
The Innovation Showroom is just a seven-minute walk from the Light + Building showroom in Frankfurt. For convenience, the showroom will provide a shuttle service for registered exhibitors to ensure easy and comfortable travel between the two halls during the trade show.
“Anniversaries give us the opportunity to look back and look forward,” said Anna Muller, Head of Marketing, Nichia Europe Ltd. “Our innovative showroom in Frankfurt celebrates two major milestones in a modern atmosphere: Nichia’s 70th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the company’s development of white LEDs. We’ve broken away from the traditional exhibition model, creating a space where visitors can explore our full range of optoelectronic products, covering automotive, UV, industrial, and laser technologies, rather than just general lighting. This forward-thinking approach reflects our commitment to driving innovation across industries and working with our customers to create the future of light technology.”
